I see her in the morning And I always catch my breath Cos she’s inevitably so beautiful In jeans or in a dress Am I mad or am I foolish? Am I conscious of my pain? Cos she’s inevitably so beautiful In sunshine or in rain I try hard to avoid her by playing like I’m blind But she’s inevitably so beautiful, I see her all the time She know me yet she don’t know me My passion lies out of sight She’s inevitably so beautiful I think of her all thru the night I try hard to avoid her by playing like I’m blind But she’s inevitably so beautiful, I see her all the time I see her in the evening And I follow her, all of the time Cos she’s inevitably so beautiful And I’m inevitably out of my mind

She’s standing at the corner Waiting on a friend He’s like some kind of bad news train Exploding round the bend And I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it …. Anymore She’s standing in a different room To the one I brought her to He’s like some kind of cuckoo in the nest Taking all he can accrue And I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it …. ANYMORE! Dark clouds forming Rain setting in You just can’t imagine The state I’m in Thunder is rolling Lightning strikes through Don’t hold me responsible For what I might do And I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it I just can’t endure it …. ANYMORE! I’m standing at the corner Waiting on a friend …

Someone 03:28
I beg for forgiveness She turns her back (lonely boy) I guess it’s all over Love’s slipped through the cracks Please tell me there’s someone in the future for me … ah ahh Some sing the blues to bring comfort Others pray to the Lord (to the Lord) Many look to the bottle While a few just fall on a sword So tell me there’s someone marked out for my company … ah ahh A room’s no place for the loveless But nor is a cold, lonely street Where the wind howls through your memories Bringing rain, maybe snow, even sleet Please tell me there’s some love in my proximity … ah ahh She pleads for redemption But he’s out through the door (lonely girl) We can see it’s all over As love crashes to the floor Please say that there’s someone in the future for us all … ah ahh

Sea Fever 04:56
‘Way haul away, the good ship now is rollin’ (Jimmy!) ‘Way haul away, we’ll haul away Joe! I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky, And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by, And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking. ‘Way haul away, we’ll haul away Joe! I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying. ‘Way haul away, we’ll haul away Joe! I must go down to the seas again to the vagrant gypsy life. To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife; And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover, And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over. ‘Way haul away, we’ll haul away Joe! ‘Way, haul away, we’ll haul for better weather, (Jimmy!) ‘Way, haul away, we’ll haul away, Joe

Her eyes are getting cloudy You’re misty to her view Whatever you expected It wasn’t this sad adieu And the wind just blew Blew you away again Blew you around the bend No light at tunnel’s end True you’ve parted company With others passing through But whatever you expected It wasn’t this déjà vu And the wind just blew Blew you away again Blew you around the bend No light at tunnel’s end Back in the day you thought that you were everybody’s cup of tea Now you trudge a lonely path that promises to be eternity It’s not easy walking hand-in-hand with yourself No ... no But one day you’ll realize this is your primary wealth Yeah … yeah And the wind just blew Blew you away again Blew you around the bend No light at tunnel’s end As she turns a corner in your eye Your mind goes wintery blue Whatever you depended on Has cleared the table too And the wind just blew Blew you away again Blew you around the bend No light at tunnel’s end And the wind just blew

about

While The Hooligan's Dilemma was the album Michael Sellers released first, it was not his first time in the recording studio.

During 2018, he spent time in the recording studio of Jesus Estrada, laying down five recordings of songs he had written over the years, including the first song he ever wrote, way back in 1971. For various reasons, these songs had not been released officially, that is until now. These five constitute the long delayed album Long Time Coming, hence the name. The album cover, by the way, shows MFS somewhere between 17 and 18 years of age, around the time he took up guitar and composed his first song; another reason for the album title.

Given that Estrada has made his name as a producer of electronic music, this influence resulted in a different sound to the two previously released albums (The Hooligan's Dilemma and Jukebox Cloister), particularly in the song Standing on a Corner. Having only recently rediscovered these recordings, Michael Sellers feels that people may be ready and eager to hear something different from him. And while these are old songs, recording them prompted his present streak of song-writing creativity, which he hopes will continue unabated.

PS If you buy the whole album, you get jpg versions of the covers of the 5 tracks on the album, plus the album cover, as bonus items.
